Just a reminder. The information on LookupLegal.com is not to be taken as legal advice. If you have a legal question or case, please contact an attorney or legal professional in your area.

Additionally, some text and images were found floating around the internet and are covered under Fair Use and are believed to belong in the public domain. Lookup Legal makes every attempt possible to source the artist or photographer, but sometimes cannot find that information. If you did what, please contact us and we will put up a link to your website. If you believe any images that appear on Lookup Legal are in violation of copyright law, please contact us and we will remove the offending information as soon as possible.

Attorney Directory Listing

Lookup Legal lists your law firm or attorney profile at our own discretion. If you have paid for your submission we will process your request and list your entry as soon as possible. Your basic paid submission entitles your entry to be listed in no more than three legal service fields, alphabetically, amongst others in your state. We are not responsible for incorrect information and ask that you tell us, via email, that something is wrong and what we can do to correct it.

If you would like to be removed from our listings, click HERE. Please be specific in your request.

If you would like to change the information in your listing, click HERE. Please be specific in your request.

If you would like to remove yourself or your firm from our directory please contact us HERE and we will so our best. You have to understand that sometimes people are competitive and will fake their identity to ask they (their competitors) be removed from the directory.

The members of Lookup Legal are solely responsible for deciding if content is suitable for our directory.

Your most effective way to request changes to your profile and/or be removed from the Lookup Legal would be to email us from your domain’s email directly. Example: Dear Lookup Legal; please remove us from your directory. Signed < somebody@yourdomain.com >

Extended Profile Listing

First of all, we need you to get us the info that you want on your profile. Maybe it’s three paragraphs from your website. Maybe it’s a list with a bunch of links. If you are a Personal Injury Attorney and all you deal with is Car Accidents, then this kind of paid listing would be very useful for you.

Second, we will fulfill our obligation. You paid for your subscription and we fully intend to procure it.

As a paid listed member you receive multiple links back to your website to your specific legal services, immensely helping Search Engine Optimization, as illustrated by this example.

The members of Lookup Legal are solely responsible for deciding if content is suitable for our directory. We will also provide an embedded map of your location via Google’s Maps.

Paid Blog Listing

Lookup Legal has a blog < http://lookuplegal.com/blog/ > and we post legal news to that blog on a regularly periodic basis. The Lookup Legal blog is sort of awesome and you are trying to be on google’s page one just like everyone else.

Paid blog listings are great for a significant link to your legal blog or website. If you have paid for your legal blog posting we need much more information from you. Please email the information HERE and we will see that it get’s here. Another disclaimer, whatever you submit will most likely be posted at your most desired position, but just in case, we need to write this. Some of the information may be incorrect, because we’re idiots, and some of the information may be not what you want. We are sorry.

You do not need to have a listing on the Lookup Legal directory to have a paid blog posting.

Please CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY to correct this flaw. We never intended to create this terrible happenstance, but we wish to fix it as soon as possible.

You should know, that not everyone who subscribes to the paid listing for the Lookup Legal blog will be accepted. Just because you paid does not mean you will be listed. If your content is irrelevant, it will not be listed. If you subscribe to Lookup Legal and your subscription is not deemed appropriate to the current, we will refund your purchase, minus the fees from any money processing service; usually this will be paypal, and they take a pretty significant chunk, but we will try our hardest to make the FULL REFUND. The members of Lookup Legal are solely responsible for deciding if content is suitable for our directory.

Paid “Featured Attorney” Listing

Did you pay for a “Featured Attorney” listing? Hell yeah! We want to make it worth it for you. It works in both of our favors.

We will list you on our “Featured Attorneys” section based on your subscription. The members of Lookup Legal are responsible for the listing properties and decide of the link should be listed or not. Each “Featured Attorney” listing will be linked to an internal page; you must have a listing on Lookup Legal to have a paid “Featured Attorney” listing.

General Money Stuff

If Lookup Legal cannot provide the service you are paying for, we will try our best to refund your payment. Sometimes we are subject to processing fees and this may subtract from your refund. Your refunds will be processed according to weekly use and will be refunded per a ratio accordingly.

Publishing Conditions and Copy Regulations

1. Lookup Legal (herein: the publisher) reserves the right to reject any advertising.
2. The publisher’s liability for any error will not exceed the charge for the advertisement in question.
3. The publisher, while taking all care, assumes no responsibility for the inaccurate reproduction of digitally submitted advertisements resulting from improper file preparation, including but not limited to artwork, graphics, color and type.
4. The publisher assumes no liability if for any reason it becomes necessary to omit an advertisement.
5. Banner ads that are designed by the publisher and not used by the advertiser will be charged for composition and other direct expenses.
6. Advertisers will be short-rated, consistent with the terms herein, if within any period from the date of first insertion they do not complete the program upon which the billings have been based.
7. All advertising orders are accepted subject to the terms and provisions of the current rate card. Orders are accepted subject to change in rates upon notice from the publisher. However, orders may be canceled at the time the change in rates becomes effective without incurring a short-rate adjustment, provided the rate has been earned up to the date of cancellation.
8. Advertisers who do not meet the publisher’s credit criteria will be required to lodge a credit card as security for their banner ad insertion orders.
9. Payment terms are net 30 days. Overdue accounts may be charged 1 1/2 percent per month finance charge or the maximum legal rate of interest allowed by law for all past-due invoices.
10. A contract may be suspended or canceled upon 5 days written notice received by the publisher prior to scheduled posting of the banner ad, and rate will be adjusted to that earned by actual length of posting.
11. All prices quoted are net and do not qualify for any agency commissions.
12. In the event of non-payment, the publisher reserves the right to hold the advertiser and/or its advertising agency jointly and severally liable for such monies as are due and payable to the publisher.
13. The publisher offers no cash discounts.
14. Verbal agreements are not recognized.
15. In the event of non-payment or other breach, the advertiser and/or its advertising agency shall be jointly and severally liable for reasonable collection costs, including court costs and attorneys’ fees. If it becomes necessary to file suit to collect any amounts owed hereunder, the jurisdictional site shall be Illinois.
16. Publisher will not be bound by any conditions, printed or otherwise, appearing on any order blank, insertion order or contract, when they conflict with these terms and conditions or any amendment hereto.
17. All advertisements are accepted for the web site entirely on the representation that the agency and/or advertiser are properly authorized to publish the entire contents and subject matter thereof. It is  understood that, in consideration of the posting of advertising, the advertiser and/or agency will fully hold harmless and indemnify the publisher from and against any claims, demands, suits, actions,  proceedings, recoveries or expenses of any nature whatsoever, including reasonable fees of counsel selected by the publisher, arising directly or indirectly from the posting of any advertisement (including but not limited to claims of infringement of copyright or trademark or claims of libel or invasion of privacy) or based upon or arising out of any matter or things contained in the advertisement.
18. Advertising insertion is conditioned upon acceptance of the publisher.
19. The construction, interpretation and performance of any advertising contracts and/or insertion orders shall be governed by the domestic laws of Illinois, USA.
20. Banner advertisements must keep with the general purpose of the web site, which is to create a directory of attorneys and lawyers and law firms across the US.
